US has deemed China the TOP global threat. So I guess they will refine their tariffs.  laugh.gif

This has nothing to do with china, it is just trade deficit.

South Korea has higher tarif compare to Malaysia. S korea n Japan is like US vessel state. How to explain that?

And Japan just announced that they would invest 100 b few weeks ago due to trump request.

Really kena game

Nothing to do with China?  doh.gif

What do you not understand about TOP threat? It is not Russia, or Iran, or North Korea.

i mean the current tariff is just to compensate trade deficit. US department send out the formula for calculating the tariff percentage. It is based to trade deficit with US and that particular country

If China's domestic demand is poor, they will help SEA by buying all our stuff ke? Not to mention they are directly competing with us by flooding the market with products that are cheaper.

actually we export more to china than china export to malaysia.
Malaysia’s trade maintained its upward trajectory, growing consistently since January 2024 and recording an 8.7% year-on-year (y-o-y) expansion in June 2024 to RM237.81 billion. Exports registered the third consecutive month of growth, increased by 1.7% to RM126.05 billion while imports rose 17.8% to RM111.76 billion.

so china has a trade deficit with malaysia. if people want to complain, it should be the china citizen.

Are they going to buy more palm oil from us?
*
this question have to ask MITI.
we can trade more with EU and diversify, if they dont kepo so much. EU also need a lot of palm oil, but choose to spread lies about palm oil to justify they purchase other oil option. EU reject indonesia /malaysia palm oil due to deforestation issue, but turns out it was a lie. Indonesia sue EU, and won the court case.
