I have a Maybank credit card. I don't have any saving account with Maybank. I installed the MAE app just for easier access to my credit card details (statement, transaction history, etc), and for Secure2U.

I have no plan to use MAE ewallet. But, the app force me to create an ewallet account. No choice, just to follow the instructions, and activated the ewallet account.

I now have access to my credit card information via MAE app.

I have no plan to use the MAE ewallet account, and don't want to keep any balance inside. If I have any credit card debt, I will just pay by direct transfer from other bank directly into the credit card account, and not through the ewallet.

If my MAE ewallet account become dormant and closed due to inactivity, can I still access my credit card information, and Secure2U feature by using MAE app?

I use MAE app without the e-wallet just fine. The app is based on what account you open with Maybank2u. I assume you open the account using your credit card details?

There is a daily MAE check-in promo. I haven't used the MAE wallet in ages, but I somehow have RM1.40 from the daily/weekly 'tap-and-track' thing.

Wait till you try apps from other banks

UI / UX wise MAE still the best. Except the Android back button = exit app thing

There is no need to activate the Mae wallet to use the app. I never activated, just using it to manage accounts and cards

I only have credit card account with maybank. No saving account with Maybank. The app force me to activate the wallet. If I don't follow the instructions, I will be logged out.
