50% discount for tolls on Friday, Saturday in conjunction with Hari Raya

PETALING JAYA: Commuters will enjoy a 50% toll discount from March 28 to 29 in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

In a statement issued on Wednesday (March 26), Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said that this was agreed by the Cabinet in a meeting on Wednesday (March 26).

He said that the toll discount would cost the Madani government an estimated RM19.69mil as compensation payments to all toll concessionaires.

“The toll discount will be implemented from 12:01 AM on March 28 (Friday) until 11:59 PM on March 29 (Saturday).

“This toll discount applies only to Class 1 private vehicles at all toll plazas, except at border toll plazas, namely Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) Toll on the North-South Expressway (Plus) and Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza on the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link Expressway (Linkedua).

“This initiative continues the festive toll relief program introduced by the Madani government in 2023 for all four major festive seasons in Peninsular Malaysia.

“It aligns with the core principles of the government - well-being and compassion—aimed at easing the cost of living for the people.

Forgot already this year no more free toll for any festive holidays

I think last year during Deepavali still got toll free on October..
