hi there.. im having a 40gb 1st gen ipod. now, when i turn on, there's strange sound inside, seems like ahrdisk gone already. can i know here can i fix it?

since its out of warranty,its going to be costly.if you are interested in DIY,you can refer to HERE,but just to be on the safe side,send it to any official reseller,they will help you to do all the procedure at a cost though
