On March 14, a Malaysian Airlines 737-800, flight number MH705, experienced engine problems shortly after taking off from Manila, forcing the aircraft to declare an emergency landing back in Manila. Videos and pictures shared by plane spotters showed one of the engines emitting flames shortly after takeoff.
The aircraft successfully returned to Manila, where it made a smooth landing after the pilots declared the emergency. Airport emergency vehicles accompanied the plane until it reached the terminal for proper disembarkation.
Kudos to the pilots and cabin crew for ensuring the safety of everyone on board during such a tense situation! Indeed, the best safety feature of any aircraft is its skilled pilots and cabin crew.
