tbf, saw more and more China MPV at KL at Jalan Tun Razak (wheres it jammed until not move), and those cars with fancy plate no. Who still buy this yesterday Velfire/ Alphard with low spec (UMW did this?) HU and poor camera quality.
If it recond, most recond shops will give free upgrade of HU with aftermarket brand HU, cz the Japan HU FM issue, AA and ACP, and last is the Maps, even though many wont use stock map nowadays.

join their FB group, SC normal service ok, but once get abnormal problem, need to put it at SC until weeks, and worst, they don't know how to resolve it. Most owner there send specialist outside then only ok. Thats why no RV for Volvo cars, thanks to this + using batteries (PHEV) for all their car.

It is knew as TEMS, this technology been around Toyota since 80's/90's.
Here most people only bring in cheap/basic spec. to sell.

Even my mechanic manage to mod this TEMS system into his Toyota Corolla AE101 during the 90's.

Since then he got a new daughter. Rachel. Kykyky

Most of them (doing car review/content) keep selling n changing cars due to content and also cut losses/depreciation.
It is not cheap to maintain continentals, especially higher end models and also mostly purchase under company name as after few years changing cars also will help reduce company tax.

alphard here is kind of a rare breed, people here and dealers here much prefer importing vellfire

FYI, Vellfire is consider as lower spec. model line in Japan (compare to Alphard).
Here they sell like very high spec. Most bell and whistle specs. are on the Alphard.

I believe most of their cars might be registered or claim under company funds. If claim under company funds usually they will change car very often as this will help reduce their company tax. Thus why you can see a lot of those big company top post like Manager/Director above can change car easily after few years like nothing since it is not from their own pocket salary and also help company tax not being tax too high.

All these luxury car able to claim capital allowance of maximum RM50k only, the only benefit i think is the car expenses (road tax, insurance, maintenance, petrol) can be claimable. But the car driven by the director will kena benefit-in-kind in their EA form. So in the end u have not much of tax saving

(road tax, insurance, maintenance, petrol) -> This 4 category itself, Big CC/Luxury car will gain a lot of advantage as owner no need pay from own pocket. I believe the capital allowance of Maximum is RM150k?
