nowadays, sound proofing is good, noise levels from traffic is acceptable…
most high rises have dedicated lifts to different floors, so wait times are acceptable…
depending on the condo, same are special for tenants only, opening directly into your floor only..
whether you are 10 or 30 floors, the lift goes to different levels… if common ( ie all floors, the wait times is about the same)..
if common notice that for high floors, the wind can be very strong.. only floor to cater is the pump rooms

yes…modern lifts are smart… some even bypass stops once it senses full occupancy and works accordingly
our 30 year old lifts had their inerts replaced, now works more efficiently
