parking headache, and attached with every b40 headache and discomfort

you can try rental that place 1 yr and decide

best if you can move to small retirement towns , everything cheaper, easier, happier,

who knows, that town is your destiny and suddenly ong in life

After death is not his problem. Bank will foreclose and any balance, if any, will go to govt coffers.

Giving banks additional problem

They prefer easiest way out..

I've asked loan before. They basically won't give unless you've insurance in some ways.

Have you bought a property with insurance before

you don’t need the full amount on confirmation to purchase… normally ready 10-15% of purchase price… it takes time for the lawyers to finalize the transaction and subject to authorities approval for some cases…
talk to your lawyer, they will advise

If you're not familiar with the place, take one day off to survey the area. Check parking, traffic, distance to eating place etc

Don't go for 3rd sty shop-apartment. That's walk up, susah nanti. Topmost floor sibeh hot wan.

You should consider those affordable housing by the gov. Those 400-500sqft 1R studio, I think <250k

You are single, 1st time buyer > rsku/ rumahwip is a good buy. Many in the pipeline. Go for it. Have your own space growing old, bro.

Choose those with hypermarkets within walking distance will be good.

You can always sell and move to nursery care (hopefully that will not be the case). Stay healthy, live comfortable within your own space.

Service apartment living with amenities, social connection with neighbours a good vibe.

anyone knows? for shop apartments, do they have maintenance?.. what happens if roof damage? toilet stucked or leaking? main pipe, common area electrical issues?..
i think advisable to purchase residential apartment for peace of mind… further more, you have your private car park to rent if not using..maintenance etc all settled with proper security

If I'm a homeowner, I would think twice to rent out my unit to elderly above 55. Can they pay? are they sick? no relative / kids? too much red flags.

Ayam support u buy a unit . But as other /ktards have said, survey thoroughly, is the place to your liking? close to amenities? traffic / clinic / food nearby? u like?

climbing stairs, well as long as you keep a healthy body and keep fit, I dun see not much problem. If you fatty bom bom no exercise type, then only I would advice against it .

when needed u can sell the unit and the cash you use to go nursing home instead (after some time) when you are no longer able to live independently.

hope for the best for you , TS.

no lift is good.

cheaper maintenance, and you get to exercise your legs while you are sill young.

Highest floor also means your unit will be more quiet from the noise from the commercial activities on ground floor.

But, this type of property has no facilities, meaning you wont have any interaction with others in the community, so highly likely you will become forever alone, forever.

I have a feeling Malaysia is becoming like Japan very soon. Low birth rate, many old people living alone till die, everything becoming expensive.

Buy a house. Sell it and use the money to check-in care center when you are old enough.
