Hi guys, would like to ask around, if we self driving to Mossy Forest in Cameron Highlands, will the official allow ?

I thought it is a hiking activity area. No road.

I watched from Youtube video which was uploaded 1 year ago, there is a road drive all the way up to Mossy Forest entrance, just unsure whether it is still allow for self drive to there..

You can try la, then will get scolded by the tour agents that bring tourists up using 4x4...

They will say its dangerous for public to use the narrow road which i agree..

Even us who ride up there kena scold by those 4x4 operators lol but we just kept on going

why not? hope you have a small and narrow 4WD. if you are used to Indonesia's small road, this is similar.

Ive meet this one pujimug 4x4 driver stop smack in the middle of the road kasi passanger turun, blocking both lane of that small road ... tunaseng its oledi jam like fukimug he lagi do like that, I turun teow kaw sama him dia he lagi say sekijap saja ma... lagi la I panas taruk him ninama u pigi park tepi baru kasi turun pun sikijap kan ... he diam kaw jor.

Yes you can drive up but preferably using a 4x4 else you risk scraping your undercarriage. Another word of advice is to go early morning before 9am because the tour operators are still pickup their guest after breakfast.

Going up early no view to see because too cloudy.

can go up no worry, accord so low also no problem going up but the only issue is there is farm too, so you might bump into those hilux carrying stuff, very tricky to pass la. and no toilet up there ya, closed due to maintenance

I self drive to mossy forest a fews time. no problem. But the road not that good and very hilly.

Many years back I did it with my Myvi. Punctured my tyre when reached the Mossy forest. I think they don't allow it anymore as some AMDK YT fellow tried recently and was declined entry. Even if you can now, unless you have a proper 4x4, I wouldn't recommend.

We drove up 2 years ago.

Steep road, better get 4 wheels drive.

Myvi saga vios no issue
Best if I have 4x4 la for main hantam potholes, but it's still hard road not soft soil/muddy so sedan is ok

The observation tower / peak with Telco signal tower blocked by gate after mossy forest entrance, used to be able to drive all the way to peak of gunung brinchang, 5 years ago I tracked into gunung brinchang , the observation tower already disappeared
