i was walking around SWP mall over the weekend with my family, in certain part of the mall, my son's umobile has no signal, my wife's Digi also no signal, but my maxis line got 4G signal and can stream video. So being in KL does not mean no issue, signal strength inside the building is still an issue.

Indoor coverage really location dependent. You'll be surprised places like IOI Mall Puchong, U Mobile has a way usable network with better signal strength compared to CelcomDigi and Maxis.

Even smaller malls in Old Klang Road, Bloomsvale only has Maxis coverage (other telco can receive some signal from outdoor), but within walking distance, another mall, Pearl Point only has CelcomDigi coverage (same as well, other telco rely on outdoor signal)

Even within same company, Sunway Geo only has CelcomDigi indoor coverage in the basement, and I forgot another Sunway property which only has Maxis coverage.

At the end, no telco is perfect especially indoor. Outdoor coverage is more predictable

CelcomDigi and U Mobile are sharing indoor coverage infrastructure in a few smaller malls in Klang Valley such as PJ33 (Maxis no coverage in basement), and Empire City Mall parking basement (only sharing in basement, other offices and retail spaces remain separated)

So yeah, hopefully network sharing between telco could make telco more profitable and having better initiative to install indoor coverage in less profitable areas

Basement right. It seems CelcomDigi has "balas budi" to U Mobile haha. The ZTE initiative is great, now everyone got signal

I do noticed the indoor coverage is a lot better now with indoor coverage sharing agreement from both side. For some reason, it made Maxis the inferior telco when it comes to in-building coverage now.

Just to add my 2 sen for U Mobile is that the signal is cacat when at the airport gate when masuk the aeroplane. No signal for both KLIA and KLIA2. When I ask the passengers next to me who have data signal, they use CelcomDigi.

Also as orang Labuan, there is no U Mobile reception when inside some buildings while CelcomDigi have signal... so ended up ported my U Mobile to CelcomDigi as I've been grandfathered plan for U28 postpaid with the measly 3GB quota since... 2014?

At least CelcomDigi 40 SE plan is 40GB quota for RM40 and better coverage for my usual lepak place.

If u are not that data hungry, u could port to CelcomDigi XV30, RM30 for 20GB data with unlimited call, but this plan is only available on normal phone shops, not official store

New tower near my house, far taller than other, U Mobile is the only deadzone here (other telco at 3 storeys shoplot, U Mobile one storey high, Unifi no site nearby but can use Maxis 4G_). I think is U Mobile 5G since they have been eagerly swapping antenna in my Taman as well as nearby but other than the site nearby this tower
