people are selling sealed M2 ipad air in carousel for range of RM2,300. better deal than the new M3 model?

Yes only chip upgraded. In fact it is quite surprised that they upgrade the air so soon.

becos last upgrade was in may 2024. Even iPad Pro was updated.

I got the brand new M2 base model last year dec at RM1867, anything above 2k basically can skip.

Nowadays, i don't see a point getting apple products at msrp, and the 2nd hand sellers still naive and think that apple product can hold the value even used..
So many reseller out there, competition is crazy. Holding stock = debt, they just wanna off load asap when they got a chance.

The new iPad is gonna be a tough sell, I'm betting it will get couple of hundreds less from msrp within 2 -3 months.
Just keep an eye on double digit sales or pay day sales. Grab one when you think the price is good.

Definitely a better deal. If the M3 models actually came with 120Hz ProMotion display, then different story, but since both models are still on 60Hz PovertyMotion, no brainer. Get the M2. Just be careful buying from Carousel and the like. Safer to wait for reseller sales on Shopee or Lazada. Might even get bigger discount, as others have mentioned..

less than one year they upgrade the air which is quite strange...

they probably would have upgraded air with M3 already since last year as M4 already came out back in 2024.

still dun wan put OLED or 120hz into this line-up

Now I have more choices, Ayam could go A16, M2 or even M3.

no. for sure, if air has OLED and 120Hz no one will buy pro becos it is technically the most significant reason why ppl buy pro and not air.
tim cook is good at marketing, he knows the mindset of consumers so well.

pro upgraded to 144hz also no use, 144hz vs 120hz to most ppl no difference at all...

Just wonder price different rm420 for M2 and M3. Get m2 or m3?
