As per the title, im a first time house owner. VP soon around Aug 2025
Property is RUMAWIP RM300k

Got a few question as follow;
1) Do i need to pay stamp duty? from what i can google is First-time homebuyers who purchase a home valued at RM500,000 and below can enjoy a full stamp duty exemption until the end of 2025. corrent?

2) How much usually does it cost for Legal fees related to MOT?

3) After i get the title i need "pawn" (not sure the actual term) to the bank coz i got loan? This require lawyer as well right? How much is the legal fees?

and what else is required or take note during this period, any tips would be appreciated

Before the title out, u ad signed a DEEDS like DOMC, DOA to collateralize your borrowing with your property ownership.

So after completion, strata title will maybe be immediately available, or might take 1 or 2 or 3 yrs if there is any changes to the building plan during construction..

You as owner, can
1. Delay strata title perfection bcuz u gotnno money to pay all the legal processing fee
2. Immediately process the perfection

If u choose 1, then dont bother lo..

If u choose 2, then lawyer will do work lo..
They will do perfection, get title from land office, then title will masuk charge to your bank, so no need those DOA anymore in future..

Since u say mot is foc, then u pay legal fee only lo. Probably will come out to around 4k la i guess because do 2 process
1. Perfection
2. Charge to bank

actually how long can you delay? I have experienced before the developer's lawyers send notice to me that there will be penalty and interest if i keep delaying the perfection.
