QUOTE(gashout @ Feb 27 2025, 08:37 AM) I plan to install a pull out water tap... and the renovation guy says cannot fix the water filter head to it... I am currently using https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q...hpJuikNGexcgw&s panasonic water filter... he recommended to connect to a small pipe at the corner left upper end sink... can i ask which brand of water filter should i buy then? i just need a simple one actually. thanks for helping. The setup is something like this, right? So, changing the tap to a pull out/down type... will require a different setup for the water filter, as what the contractor recommended, right?

QUOTE(gashout @ Feb 27 2025, 10:42 AM) \\ i plan to use 3M undersink water filter, ok right? update. this one you provided is the same i had... contractor says doesn't work Now, you planning to change the filter to a under sink type... If you used back the current water filter, the 2-tap setup as shown will work if one side can change to a pull out/down tap, and the other to be fixed to the water filter. But will not work if you change to a undersink filter. Will need to cut another hole for the water pipe... as mentioned in 1st post.

QUOTE(gashout @ Feb 28 2025, 03:42 PM) your explanation is perfect! if use two tap set up, the set up looks ugly actually, so will change to undersink, more neater looking... got it, thanks a lot So... it's back to the initial recommendation, cutting another hole for the water filter... regardless whether the filter is on the counter or hidden underneath.

Photo not mine la From shoppee... I guess it's one complete set? A tower filter and one dispenser jug cum filter? This post has been edited by ScooterBoi: Feb 28 2025, 04:37 PM

QUOTE(Azran1979 @ Feb 28 2025, 05:13 PM) can u give me the link? i cannot find it in shopee. https://shopee.com.my/product/8944694/54401...ByABEgI-rPD_BwEMy own setup is a doulton ceramic candle in a stainless steel housing... fix onto the tap to save space as like picture below. But unlike the picture, it is connected to another filter/dispenser. The dispenser is placed next to the sink, as mentioned above, for convenience of filling bottles higher than the dispenser.

QUOTE(gashout @ Feb 28 2025, 07:07 PM) This set up is interesting. Where can you buy this I didn't buy it. It's inherited together with the house! Couldn't find it on Doulton's website, but shoppee has another brand... https://shopee.com.my/product/30100935/3554...CiABEgL54fD_BwE Can combine it with the nice looking Panasonic filter in previous picture. So that it is on top of the counter, instead of over the sink, and can place your cup/glass under the dispenser and not holding it while it is being fill.

QUOTE(gashout @ Feb 28 2025, 07:34 PM) Thanks. Im trying to see the setup. It seems the hose will be shown on the sink... Is yours only showing this water filter..and hose all underneath? It would be something like this... with the white rubber connected to the stainless steel housing at the top instead of directly to the tap. And the tap is a double tap as in post #12. The white rubber hose can be cut to length... not like in the picture with it running all over the counter.

Btw in above post and picture, there is a column at the sink. So the dispenser cannot be placed neatly at the back and the white rubber hose is not neatly pushed against and along the wall to the dispenser.
Using the stainless steel housing fixed to the tap, it will be behind the sink, not over the sink since the hose is not fixed to the tap head.
