You mean when registering fingerprint it cannot read the upper half? Using right index finger, I notice XM15 can unlock better laying the whole finger on the circle. And it will fail most of the trying to unlock using just the tip of the index finger.

works better in warm and humid environment, finger a bit sweaty also makes it works much more better. laugh.gif

the oleophobic coating is quite impressive, makes the finger so slippery in cold and dry environment and always fail the fingerprint unlock

Found this tempered glass from LaoBaoTecho n Taobao. The fingerprint works much better than Smartdevil one

it was claimed to be 0.23mm but it feels as thick as the 0.6mm smart devil one

Cracked mine and install a new one. Measuring the old one shows thickness 0.5mm, but fingerprint works 80% of the time

you mean just running the tuya smartlife apps and google home? it that's the case you can just get a cheap tablet like the redmi tab or galaxy tab a9 and call it a day. its overkill to use latest phone to run a smart home control panel
