Just follow what is stated on the website for the process and instructions. Only get the personal experience from within this forum.
But I can tell you that I have heard stories from a friend of a friend,
they said that they heard of someone who got their visa application rejected. But I personally, nor any of my family and friends, have been rejected. I think as long as you are not a criminal, have the funds and can prove a link back to Malaysia like owning a house, have a job, parents still around, you won't be rejected. Heck, I've never married, no kids, at the right age to overstay, working in the industry easy to get employed in USA and I still got my visa approved! And they were right, because I have visited 3 times already over the last 10 years, and have never done anything illegal there or overstayed.
But I can't say for sure for you, because I'm not embassy staff. You just have to follow the instructions with your backing documents and apply. No other way about that.
This finally made sense to me why people sit in the park in the afternoon after I visited that first time

Edit to add : You must have a plan of what you want to do if they ask you in the interview, but don't buy any tickets yet.
