QUOTE(wizard83 @ Nov 9 2007, 07:22 PM) Hi guys, i am going for my visit at hong kong soon, I would like to ask if there is any problems of buying a PS3 there and using it here besides that i don't have warranty and if i wanna get my warranty i need to do it at HK?? Meaning do i have problem with the voltage plug etc etc ?? Please advice No problem. I have a HK PS3 right now. The voltage plug works fine. About the warranty. I am not sure. Why not get one in Singapore. Would be nearer and easier to claim your warranty if anything happens. This post has been edited by Muchi: Nov 9 2007, 07:26 PM

I think that if you declare it as a gift, the custom won't be able to tax you? Technically, a gift is something you accept for free from someone. And I don't think so they will take the trouble to check whether you are telling the truth or not?

QUOTE(andy_lhc @ Nov 10 2007, 04:37 PM) nowadays even if u buy something online and ask them to send it as gift, it is still taxable..... I bought my MGS 20th Anniversary pack back in August from YesAsia. They declare it as a gift and I was not required to pay any tax when I went over to collect my package. QUOTE(andy_lhc @ Nov 10 2007, 05:39 PM) my point is it depends on ur luck...sometimes even if u dont declare it as gift and above RM500, they stil will not tax u...while some other times they tax u even if its declared as gift or even tax u RM60 for 2BD discs(although its oli about USD30++) I guess I am one lucky son of a gun then
