The fastest I ever got from single connection is 80 KB/s around 4-5 am. Getting higher speeds is difficult due to servers located in US.

Usually at night and early morning I use 4 threads which will give me 150++ KB/s. Daytime use more

leechz.com is good if you have few links to d/l

if you have plenty of links to downmload on a REGULAR basis...nothing beats premium. After all, it's cheaper than RS and US dollar is weak now so why not take advantage of that?

Considering the risks involved, lifetime premium at USD199.99 may not be a good idea.

Instead the 2-yr account at USD79.99 looks like a great deal. At current exchange rates, it works out to about RM11 per month. Great deal!

MU premium is great, except every now & then the dreaded "The file is temporarily unavailable"

After that FDM should do your direct downloads easily.

I don't quite understand why many premium users here complain of slow speeds.

With premium access, you can increase the number of simultaneous connections until you maxed out the broadband.

If MU would improve their lousy uploading system, more links would be available for MU users. Currently there are more linkz for Hotfile than MU.

And......nobody notice MU prices went up?

Now prices quoted in Euro, not USD anymore.

Yeah in terms of free user download, MU is the best. Second best is perhaps Fileserve.....

MU's problem.

I worked around it by starting the d/l while logged in
then get the direct link (www222.megaupload.com/......)
then d/l the direct link as a free user
very easy to do on linux with wget
