Premium, just registered for one and was planning to use flashget to download them. The problem is megaupload doesn't work like rapidshare. I've used the same settings with rapidshare, but it doesn't work.

Hmm.. I don't understand what i am doing wrong. I set it to direct download, put in my account and password in flashget. Yet when i put in the url, it doesnt download the 95mb file, just the 5kb thing.

oh...so u r facing the same problem as me ... i've no choice but to open the MU link in firefox first, then only can start download using flashget, with the help from flashgot.

This is exactly what i am doing now. This is very tedious because sometimes you wanna download 20+ files together. I've already input my username and password, yet it still doesn't work.

hmm, any1 remote upload between RS and MU?
seems like MU can't take links from RS anymore, this morning was still ok

Hmmm need to ask what does MU can't take links from RS. What do you mean by that? You mean i can download RS files with a MU premium account?

I can't even leave my megaupload alone at night to download. Everytime i wake up in the morning, the megaupload sure got problem... Either the download goes 0.00kb or you get the red X next to it. Annoying.

Did you preview the files first? As in, if using IDM, wait for the file size to appear and file name to change from the download code to the actual file's name? If yes, don't. Let it queue as the original download URL without the actual file name loaded. Although I'd definitely prefer to know the file names, but apparently those links that you get will only last temporarily. So when the queue finally hits the file, that temporary link is gone.

For example, leave the link as http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VTA8MU9Q rather than having it preview to obtain the actual download link:
http://www89.megaupload.com/files/ec8e05bc...cd77a5/asdf.avi
*
If i leave the link as http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VTA8MU9Q, it'll download the html version. I'm using flashget with flashgot btw, so im not sure whether i can configure it as http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VTA8MU9Q to download the file inside and not the html version.

It never fitted at the previous spot anyways. Software. MU and RS ain't software laugh.gif
Welcome laugh.gif Does that mean you used to always click the links to MU page, then click to download, then add it to your queue? shocking.gif

Nop, i highlight the stuff i want to download, then use flashgot selection to copy it.

Now here's another question of mine. Assuming they didnt give the MU link, but they give something like this:

Test1
Test2
Test3

How do i get the megaupload url from links like this, assuming i had to do this for 20 other links together.

Another different problem i do encounter is sometimes when my download reaches 90% and above, the download speed tends to decrease until it remains stagnant at around 5kb. Does anyone else encounter this problem?

May i ask, what is the most efficient download manager when using MegaUpload.

I'm currently using flashget i and i am encountering numerous problems, the worst of them all is that the speed will suddenly decrease from 120kb+ to just 5kb.

This problem is really darn annoying is because when i leave my downloads on in the night, only to wake up and realized the speed of 5kb has been running the whole night, wasting 1 whole night of download. The only way to fix this problem is to pause the download for 10 minutes and resume it back, which will return my speed back to 100kb+.

Here's my report from using IDM so far, much more efficient when compared to FlashGet. Although, it takes a little time to get use to it. I shall leave it on the whole night and see how it goes.

Does megaupload have a limited bandwidth? Assuming i was to share my megaupload account with somebody and we're both downloading at the same time. Is it possible?

Edit: Question answered, saw the person above me.

Hello, may i ask... How do i add links to IDM that are just the megaupload names such as "5WUR1YLQ" and not the actual files.

Thanks.

enable direct dwload.

Attached Image

I mean like, I want the files to be "ANOBSPGR" etc... not the actual file name.

Cause i realized, if it's left as the actual file name... after a while I won't be able to download it.

I hope you guys understand what I'm trying to say..

Thanks.
