For me , i will buy a new TV after 3 years or 4 years
If very expensive TV like 75", 85" and above, then i will buy extend warranty. It's because it's expensive. I can't afford to buy a new TV with expensive price in 4 years time.

QUOTE(zero5177 @ Feb 18 2025, 04:58 PM) Like for my situation RM6k TV, top up RM1370 for extended warranty, would u consider this making sense? I keep minimum insurance coverage, Currently is 2+1 and if 2+2 warranty is cheaper right?

Each LCD/ LED Panel have life span around range 30k ~60k hours.
So you try calculate how many hour you would spend on TV per day. Then you decide want to buy insurance or not. Based on that to judge will be much easier.

QUOTE(cawan @ Feb 19 2025, 11:01 AM) other thing need consideration to. what if the electronic/board issue? internal part damage.. what if physical button rosak? what if.. Yes ,this is about the reliability of the TV itself. shit does happened. From the TV build up, the most expensive is the TV panel. Second expensive item will be main board. Others like Light Control, service centre charge at around RM300~400 for replacement. The Signal board for Remote control hard to broken so dont worry.
