TV extended warranty?

I got offered to buy Panasonic TH-65MX950K <RM6k The guy also recommend me to opt for extended warranty, current is 2 years extend to 5 years from Panasonic at RM1370 for this bundle (originally RM1955) https://www.panasonic.com/my/consumer/extended-warranty.htmlThis is mini LED TV, do you think the extended warranty worth it?

NO.. if a TV cant last more than 2 years.. means quality is very bad from the beginning..
i have dell monitors that have no problems for 5 years and i run them 10 hours a day gaming and surfing /k/

But this mini LED is close to 6k and they said TV panel have problem easily within 5 years. This current model is 2023 model, so don't have any history to benchmark how long it can last since TV industry itself life cycle pretty short.

I will buy last 2-3 years model TV because their price is very beautiful ~ within 5 years if broken then change again. my current LG 49" smart TV still working fine with 7Y with RM2k during 2018.

if it's samsung, i would tell you to definitely get it...you will need it
other brands depends on you....if you think after this fail, u wanna buy something else thn don't get it if you still want to use back panasonic thn get it because they're not gonna repair it, they're gonna replace you with another panasonic TV

Otherwise it will be 2 years warranty with parts replacement.

For me , i will buy a new TV after 3 years or 4 years
If very expensive TV like 75", 85" and above, then i will buy extend warranty. It's because it's expensive. I can't afford to buy a new TV with expensive price in 4 years time.

ayam got sharp tv before lasted 9 years. after sharp dieded, ayam get xiaomi and last 1 year 8 months only. lucky xiaomi warranty is 2 years, so ayam got a brand new xiaomi tv but warranty follow the old xiaomi

My SONY BRAVIA I bought extended warranty +3 years (total5). It rosak on 4 years 9 months or 11 months or so). Worth it for me. They pay me the repair cost and i bought a new Sony Model
