While they roasting Kopi (referring to local Hainan Coffee Bean) there is a lot of sugar added and margarine which is also not a good ingredient.

You may consider the western kopi kosong AKA Long Black / Americano which is better alternative to local ones

Most likely the same Hainanese Coffee

The western coffee doesn't come out that dark as compared to the Hainanese one.

Also the taste and aroma is totally different kind of thing. I felt Hainanese Coffee Kosong felt bland do not have body/after taste, must add sugar/condensed milk to bring out the flavor.

While on the other hand Americano/Long Black taste more flavorful when taken without Sugar/Milk

Actually if u make your own very affordable, like example

1. You need a kettle which most household have
2. Chemex, the glassware and stainless steel filter to brew coffee sold around RM25 online
3. Coffee bean order grounded around RM20 for 200g can buy online, this 1 pack last me close to 1 month for about 15 cups (I took on weekday)

When u get interested, consider invest to a Timemore hand grinder which cost u about RM150 which elevate the experience to a different height that you will never be interested with coffee from chains like Starbucks anymore.

Sorry I'm not a fan of instant kopi, it kicks uncomfortably different for me, I just make my own coffee simple one no need measure to precision. Already life changing experience.
