About 7E being non halal in MY. Think a little more la.

Malays are not going to go to 7E if they had pork products in it.
7E would also cannot find local employees that willing to work in places that sells pork.

You can argue that can employ Bangla like KK does.
But KK does not sell pork also.

7E in TH works because it is well managed and the product quality and selection rivals those in JP.

It's because of simple math. Majority of Thais aren't Muslim so don't have halal requirements. But thais 7e still sell halal food because of growing demands from tourist and their own Muslim countryman.

Here majority are Muslim. Selling non halal will only cater to less than 40% population. Sure they still can sell non halal as they do sell beer etc but the owners of 7e decided not too, maybe to them don't have enough economic of scale.

Malaysian family mart still crowded. They don't even sell beer. Yet non Muslim still go there. So your argument about halal being the reason Malaysian 7e not as good doesn't make sense.

Yes, but it's basically easy for both muslim and non muslim to find food, especially in southern thailand.

7-11 here only started offering fresh/frozen food very recently. Years after FM entered MY market and offering food from the start.
7-11 Thailand since dunno when already offering similar food.

Halal isn't the main reason imo. Also, in my experience, the average 7-11 size in Thailand is double the size of ours.

Taiwan 7e cannot beat Thailand 7e lah. Thailand 7e (big cities) is full of face care products, while Taiwan 7e does not have much. Basically you don't need to bring any toiletries to Bangkok, can just go to 7e to get all things.

When I visited Taipei again last october, just after I visited Bangkok, I noticed Taiwan 7e was not as great as I remembered (or imagined).

Like somebody said need to cater to majority target market. There is no msian halal Michelin I believe.

Bangkok got so many 7E, lol i mean like there's 7E every 3-4 unit of shop. But their 7E just way better than ours, lots of cheap self heating foods, cakes, bread, processed foods etc.
