I'm looking for 5G/mobile internet with simcard that i can take out the card use in phone during day time.

Night time remove the simcard put into router use at home.

Currently i'm not sure how much data i need yet so i guess unlimited data would be better, or unless the plan is not fixed i can i try out 300GB if not enough upgrade to 500GB or higher.

Which telco has the cheapest package?

Currently i'm having a Maxis Fibre Broadband and Unifi Broadband account so if they have better package for existing customer i would consider too.

Maybe look into the U Home 5G or Yes Wireless Broadband?

They don't let you call, but it's a data sim you can shove into any device

if you want a data sim that can call also, not too many cheap options i think

Yeah U Home 5G and Yes is in the list.

Although Yes kinda sucks at indoor. Strange thing is i noticed Yes Postpaid has better coverage than Prepaid.

Good thing is Yes offer 7 days can return and cancel contract.

I'm using Digi now RM25 for 30GB for when i'm outside.

This addon can use for hotspot?
For when i'm at home i will either hotspot from phone to laptop or put the simcard into 5G router.

All 5G coverage will be the same, no different Yes or uMobile or Maxis. Same DNB tower.

Hmm now u mentioned it sounds correct.

Last time ayam using Yes Prepaid (Bought for RM1 in shopee) it only has 10GB 5G data and the signal barely usable indoor at home.
Then i used Yes Postpaid for a month and the signal was ok-ish..
Now come to think about it the Postpaid was unlimited 4G/5G data.

And also my Digi prepaid currently using also shows 4G.

If indeed 5G that terrible indoor then mati lor.

All SIM card works both on Phone & on Router.

Here are some consideration you nee to think it over :-

1. Does your existing SIM when in Phone have a good coverage on the place where you plan to install the Router ?

2. How is the speed (standing at the planned install area) ?

3. How many devices will be connecting to the internet ?

My company have a site office where cable internet are not available or not feasible, I have installed a 4G Router for them to connect to the internet. Here is where the problems comes in :-

- Slow or Lagging when a user is doing Video Conferencing or Online Meeting.
- Streaming of Youtube videos.
- Large files download.

All those uses data very fast... so you may need to take these into considerations. Else, stick back to Unifi/Maxis fibre.

Cheers... cool2.gif
