At this point kind of hard to say. I was hoping it would start at 1,999 lol.[2025]iPhone 16E Discussion Thread | V1

Honestly if it was 2499 I would buy it in a heartbeat. Was always looking to have a reliable phone for work purposes but this price list is ridiculous. I am better off buying a used ip15pro for the same price.

If for second phone/office use, is it worth to just top up 700 and get the ip16 instead of the ip16e? Would there be significant difference in performance?

QUOTE(piscesguy @ Mar 11 2025, 08:43 AM) Despite the extra capacity, the 16e does consistently worse than the 16 in our testing, and we have the older display to blame for the on-screen tests, while the shorter call time can probably be attributed to the new modem. This is quite contradictory to other reviews I saw on youtube. The price of 16e is 2999 (128gb). I see that on shopee you can get ip16 for the same price after some discounts. If even the battery life is not better than 16 although 16e has a larger battery, then it only makes sense to go for 16 instead right?Either way, the iPhone 16e doesn't last nearly as much as others in gaming - among iPhones and Androids alike. Video playback is also behind the curve, though not by as much. The web browsing result, on the other hand, may be shorter than on the iPhone 16, but it's better than direct competitors from Samsung and Google, so there's that. All things considered, we got an Active Use Score of 11:53h on the iPhone 16e - a classic case of 'not great, not terrible'. The Galaxy S25 and a Pixel 9 scored a little better overall, while an iPhone 16 will likely bring you a more tangible longevity improvement. https://www.gsmarena.com/apple_iphone_16e-review-2805p3.php |

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Mar 11 2025, 01:33 PM) that why i get ip16. So the best advice would be, if need to get now, go for iphone 16. If not urgent, wait for 16e to drop further. But I believe in Sept this year once 17 comes out, 16 will drop even further lol.cannot fight as price drop after 4 month. that why 16e not atrractive the price. may be by sept but right now it is losing end |

QUOTE(Syok Your Mom @ Apr 7 2025, 02:09 PM) Hope the resell trade in value is good for this 16e, thinking to trade in back to Android which I prefer better than iOS. Maybe wait few days or next week got Android Fon launching or not. This 16e not to my liking. iOS is over hyped & under whelming. The resident evil games are nice though, I didn't purchase them, just play the demo levels just to look & feel at the console quality graphics on a mobile Fon. how much you planning to let go? color and storage size? |

I was just wondering if anyone knows how often is this 16e lineup gonna be released. Is it gonna be the same like the previous SE? (Random gap between 2 releases) or its going to be yearly? And if yearly, is it going to be released alongside new lineups (sept) or just maintain every year march release? Its abit vague for me. GamersFamilia liked this post

QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Jun 28 2025, 10:50 AM) I don't think they gonna release with the new line up this coming september, might take sometime for 17e will be release, as of now there is no news bout it 🌮😲 From a little bit of chatgpting, its mentioned that the E series line up will be yearly. Just not with the sept releases. Probaly the same time 16e was released this year. |

QUOTE(msiabole10 @ Jul 11 2025, 02:34 PM) After considering it i might get 16/16+ I use iphone as my main phone and just gotten the newly launched reno 14 pro as my backup/2nd phone. After discount 2.3k. Seriously no brainer compared to the 16e. I was contemplating 16e as well earlier actually. But heard 16e got a problem as it were the lowest key features of all Currently i'm using old iphone as primary so no i dont need to get back to android right now |
