So many self-help online I think what we really need now is not just self help, but technical. To be hands on, and not just wondering on. It is like strolling for mood, but mood that never gears into routine and discipline

To be hands-on, you'll need to first be facing the problem and has an urgent need to resolve it. That's why it's 'technical' - it's meant to be detailed for those who already has the problem on hand. It's not for mood strolling. You'll get better luck reading Chicken Soup for the Soul for mood-strolling.

Absolutely correct, you need to start take the first step for reviewing the problem, then only able to solve the root. Or else it just like apply tape to stop bleeding temporarily.

Hi, sorry for late reply
What I meant for strolling for mood is self-help, not the technicality

Indeed,

Too much self-help today leans into motivation without motion—inspiring but not always actionable. It creates a loop of "feeling better about doing nothing yet."

What we need more of is:

- Technical depth: Real tools, real practice, real output
- Systems over moods: Routine > inspiration
- Hands-on learning: Build, break, fix—repeat
- Skill > sentiment: Especially in fast-evolving fields like tech and AI

Self-help has its place, but discipline and doing are where the transformation happens.
