My late father used to have a Maybank account. He later added me as the co-owner of the account.
I was told by somebody that the bank account has been closed by Maybank (because of being dormant for a long time), and the money has been transferred to the government.

Please may I know how I can claim by the money?
I remember there is a government department at Pudu, KL, which handled this, but I have forgotten its name.

Register an account, then u can search for unclaimed money under ur name.

U can also file for refund online.

unclaimed money can check via government portal - https://egumis.anm.gov.my/

just register account and it will show under your IC record any unclaimed money with government, and you can claim it by submitting the document as requested

Just make sure...
Your name is in Letter of Administration / Probate issued by High Court of Malaya....

Then eGumis to reclaim the $$$... Using the documents stated above....
