Hi guys,

I am helping out a good friend of mine who is just setting up a home office for his hybrid work. He has a budget of about RM
4500.00 and has narrowed his choices down to the 2 models listed above. The TCL C655 is slightly cheaper and is a standard
direct lit LED Google TV with QLED display and is a rather popular choice as a value for money TV. The Toshiba M550NP is the
replacement for the older M550MP from last year but comes with a FALD QLED panel and runs Google TV OS too. I could only
find 1 review of the M550NP so far from Indonesia but a few dealers here in JB already have it in stock.

My friend is leaning towards the Toshiba being a FALD TV but I am just wondering if anyone here has some thoughts? The TV
is basically for some Netflix and Youtube as well as video conferencing (external camera). My friend already has a 86 inch LG
mini-LED in his living space so this is just for secondary TV and work duties. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and
opinions too.

No need think too much, just buy M550 no matter MP or NP version. Very good TVs already..
TCLC655 cannot lawan la. Personally I think M550 get better processor, very smooth interface, better picture quality; much better audio too.
More people buy TCL bcoz budget constraint; if money no limit obviously Toshiba better.
But remember, it just marginal gain. eg: 1-2 seconds slower apps, Dolby Atmos vs DTS etc.. Some people want to save money, some don care spend more for little gain..

Thanks so much, bro! Oddly enough, I was able to see the C655 and the M550MP at the same shop today although in 55 inch size.
And I think the Toshiba has a slight edge in PQ especially with dark scenes being a FALD display as opposed to the C655 while the
color gamut coverage between the 2 models is almost similar. Highlights and contrast seem to be a bit better on the Toshiba despite
both TVs being displayed under very bright lights in the showroom. Both screens are a bit reflective although the sales assistant at
the shop says the M550NP has a slightly less reflective screen compared to the M550MP.
