Was trying to unzip a file to access the photos inside, den computer pop out screen said the zip file corrupted, unable to proceed

Next I attempted to drag the files inside the zip file out, computer also said file corrupted, unable to proceed

Any other ways to repair the zip file or transfer the contents out?

Yes, I agreed with @PRSXFENG that the location of the file stored. If its a pendrive then high chances it was caused by the fake drive.

If the file is store on a normal HDD, then chances it might be due to bad sector in the HDD. Run a diagnostic like "chkdsk /f" command to check & repair the HDD.

If the file is stored in the Cloud, then another chances might be sync is incomplete causing corruption, try to either sync or manually download the file again.

Hope this helps... cool2.gif

I would suggest you to do a software data recovery from your formatted HDD instead of recovering from your USB drive, that would give you higher chances.

I agreed with @MUUSYC that you do a data recovery on your HDD instead, chances to recover back the data is high.

Oh... you need to stop using that computer, so that the recovery chances is much higher. You can try find Active Recovery software (I have good experience & results using it), it can boot via USB flash drive so it will not use your existing HDD causing conflicts.
