They don't know, those luxury brand

Engine problematic, but paint n coating tech are always top notch
They want their car looked top.

For the price some can reach 2k

For me. More worth to wrap ppf. Minimal care and it actually protects from pc and scratch. Peel of acter 5 years. Still like new

my younger brother did ppf on his X5. When peeling off the wrap after 3 years, the car paint also kena ripped off. scary.

Yes, they are a lot of ppf quality. Usually is the cheap ppf adhesive 1 that cause the issues, after ppf remove need to repolish and redo coat/wax crazy a lot of money. That why is only suit for those expensive exotic cars, normal cheap rides dont waste too much money for it.

the price never made any sense

what advantage does it give? you still need to wash weekly for its proper maintenance. Even then they rate it will last 1-2 year

I cant tell a difference between a properly waxed car and a ceramic coated car looks wise

if you do wax every 3 month, thats just RM90 (1 layer) x 4 = RM360, two years only RM720
Still way cheaper than RM1.5k-2k for coating

both dont guard against stone chips... so why go ceramic coating?

just spend hours of clay my car. clay wash a way to remove dirt and contaminated on paint.

everyone should done this within 6months of normal wash.

then apply wax polish.. or ceramic coating ..

this keep your car super shining. protector from dirt also laaa.

Hence ppf also need to survey. Because of the glue. Mine lasted 4 years + to rewrap another colour. No issue. Theres 3 or 4 tier to ppf. For cheaper ones. Probably best to rip off after 1 or 2 years

RM 1k+ Prob not, 400 Can consider.

I did mine for RM 299, 3 layers. Overall, the difference is that the car is more shiny, there is no need to wax/polish, washing it does not require so much effort and no stains.

Wax in Malaysia at most only last 6 months (NuPolish).

Just remember ceramic coating does not mean your car is unscratchable and you don't need to wash your car.

Rm299? Where boss

my understanding is waxing and coating serve the same functions. The only difference is the pricing. I maybe wrong about this .

Wax does not last long, especially cheap wax, which will come off after a couple of washes and become less shiny. My longest wax experience was NuPolish, which lasted 8 months, after that need allot of work to reapply.

So far I've tried Wax and Ceramic Coating.. I would say ceramic coating lasts longer, 1 year still shiny, less stains and is easier to wash. Wax on the other hand its the same for a couple of months then you'll need to reapply.

Note: Wax is never meant to be stayed on forever with every rain or washed it will come off.

Note: Wax and Polish is different things.

You can get cheap ceramic coat not much different from expensive one. But waxing, with good product/workmanship, also cost the same as expensive ceramic coat

I currently using this on my another car.. black bottle if not mistaken. So far still good after 6 months with 1 layer. But you can feel that its not oily as the first time you applied

Where you did the RM299 3 layers?

My Toyota Corolla Cross, spent RM1.5k for ceramic coating, but because the Cross's paint is so thin, the coating don't really protect the paint - chipped like crazy even with coating - Malaysians mindset just like to open door hit next car's door and like to fold my car side mirror even though it's not parked next to any car (it's parked in a row, not side by side, so I didn't fold the mirrors)

Ceramic coating is not meant to protect from stone chips that's why I went cheap. You want to protect from stone chip, need to install PPF. Even Honda paint very thin whistling.gif .

Not stone chip, next car people open door hit my car door, and chipped the paint, even with the coating.
