If you just service your radiator or change waterpump or thermostart, usually the coolant spare tank mechanic will add more as there might be bubble in the cooling system and the extra water/coolant will help replenish back. Do check the spare tank again tomorrow morning after driven back, usually the 2nd day will got some difference.

It is safe for radiator, it will just spill out from a dedicated overflow pipe if too much, but for engine oil you shouldn't do that. cawan liked this post

Over the max line a bit nothing to be concerned about and yes there is an overflow pipe....

I would suggest u use premix coolant instead of water to prevent corrosion problem in long run. Premix coolant can be purchased at mr diy gobiomani liked this post
