IN FOCUS: Is influx of JB property buyers from Singapore, China pricing out locals? Some Johoreans who have to look for housing options further from Johor Bahru are concerned that homes in the city centre are increasingly reserved for elites and rich foreigners.
TLDR;
QUOTE
- Residential property developers in Johor Bahru’s city centre are targeting buyers from Singapore and China, driving up prices of condominiums and landed homes in hotspot areas. - Many local Johoreans are increasingly less able to afford homes they desire and some are forced to locate further from the city centre. -The Johor state government is cognisant that it must strike a delicate balance between embracing cosmopolitan development and ensuring that local Johoreans continue to enjoy affordable housing.

Seremban property price is also going up because of KV buyers. And local buyers need to look outside of Seremban.
I watched something interesting last week. There is a flat with 14 floors in seremban that actually renting their flat unit with RM40-50 a month. Very small flat about 300+ sqft.
Interestingly, it wasn't abandoned building. It was very occupied with majority Chinese elderly and surrounded with shops and it needs access card to enter the elevator.
