People who work hard to be wealthy tends to continue to work … cause working hard becomes a habit …

Only those rich second generation will not work but spend money like crazy on unnecessary things … and get wasted …

I want to work until die.

If I retire not doing any mental work I will sure get dementia punya.

Continue working won't help avoid dementia IF u're repeating the same thing/process/procedure everyday.

The key to avoid dementia is to remain inquisitive, willing to learn new things, appreciate good food, have a hobby.

better to work or have something to focus in life.......if retired nothing to do, health might deteriorate fast for some elderly.

But honestly la, kerja is fun. No kerja is boring. At least Kerja daily, I still got the umph to wake early, water my plants, harvest some herbs for later wife lunch or dinner use, can plan what I wanna cook, then when keluar house, pocket got my Tesla Key, but jalan kaki to underground take tube pigi kerja. (Trivia: Nowadays Underground also got yinternut liao, no longer as rural stupidos as before liao, hooray to underground tube improvement)

Daily life like this is fun for me, better than today plan where waste money, tomorrow plan where go die with friends etc. I find these menial matters like cook what, how to go work, what seed to buy, what plant to get, what meat to get, what to cook, and where to watch, what coffee place gooding, is nice.

My wife lagi lahanat. Suddenly mau pigi inner Mongolia makan who roast lamb. I also DLLMCCBKNNHKC betina sial... OK let's go.

Really rich ppl used to working life, not the fake rich thinking 5-10 mil cukup for retirement. Even myself one day reach 60-75 also will keep on working by meeting clients to give consults or increase knowledge by attending webinars and online training.

It’s not onli the money but keeping our brains occupied with facts and knowledge while charging our brains with activities. I also goto the gym to keep my body fit and eat less compared to when I’m in my 20-30s. I got money in epf, Asb, btc and income from my consults while my children have their own study funds so can go slow but still working. I dun work in office 9-6 and waste time wif office politics or go evening drinks wif colleagues which is waste of time toking kok. Maybe I will retire if have a billion ringgit whistling.gif

Retirement is a bad concept to begin with.
It was born out of necessity bcoz there wasnt enough jobs for the soldiers returning from war. So the chancellor of Austria at that time, Otto von Bismarck implemented retirement age and gave those elderly annuities $$ for them to quit their job.
Thats the legacy story.

Retirement is not for everyone.
When you out of job, you will feel useless. The skillset that you accumulate over the years, suddenly becomes obsolete/irrelevant.
Overnight, you become a stranger to yourself. All your insecurities creeps up, some will show their true colors to you.
Your brain turn to mush quickly. You walk less, talk less. Soon, hospital is the designated destination.

It is not bcoz you need to work, it is you want to work.
It is not you can't retire, it is you who choose not to.

Ever realized that those who do not work, tend to expire very fast. How do you think Tun Mahathir is still around? He still works.

Retirees usually die within a few years of retirement.

Working a job you enjoy prolongs your life. True storey

If own business, work till die also nvm.

If work for someone else, you don't want retire also ppl don't want to keep you any longer

So work for yourself if and when you found your lobang. Escape the 9-5 grind. (and welcome to 24/7 grind)

This is same like saying money can't buy happiness

Those who say that just dunno where to shop.

Whatever happened to volunteerism and activism?

Noodle shop where some old aunties work retired and I am sure they have made a lot of money.

Weeks later, they came back reopen shop and still making noodles until now.

I think they work because they love their job, probably got bored sit at home doing nothing.

You think post pandemic, still have wealthy people want to expose themselves to germs by volunteering ar? Get with the times, friend.

Health more important than activism. Once kena one viral or disease and get bed ridden until burst your 1 million health insurance, then you will know why most rich people avoid these things now.
