Why buy used when u can get a brand new one in any pharmacy. Why need to cheapen out? Unless it's for a fracture of a young patient then u can rent

only some of them are being donated...if they feel generous
most people prefer to resell it instead...not everybody is rich rich
wheel chair brand new itself is also not cheap to begin with

Wheel chair got a few type

Full size like the hospital one, but a bit different to put in the car.
Compact one much easier for the car boot. But not so comfy.

Of course there are also that come with the headrest, and other innovative ideas.

Kalau perlukan segera boleh hubungi mana2 gereja, persatuan buddha Tzu Chi, mereka boleh pinjamkan segera. Kalau boleh tunggu, beli online saja. Lingkungan 150-180 sahaja termasuk delivery. Jangan beli dari farmasi, harga cekik darah. Kalau dah tak perlu boleh derma balik.

I don't know about used ones but if really urgent need one, you can look for some pharmacy stores, but not all pharmacy stores sell it. Ranging around 150~400+ depending on your need and quality.

If you don't want to use it anymore, I suggests you donate it to HKL. But they only open door for these equipment donation during office hours, and don't come during Friday lunch & praying time, if not you gonna wait until 3pm++

(Disregarding powered wheelchair for the moment as per your first post.) Start by deciding if you want self propelled (the rear wheel is large) or you want pushed wheelchair (the rear wheel is small, must have someone push to move) Then decide on further features like extra large, lightweight, can use over the toilet, can recline or not, etc

Yes. He is getting better these days. He can eat normally able to take a couple of steps at a time. But still too weak to walk. I plan to get a wheelchair so I can bring him out for breakfast, garden, instead of on the bed most of the time.
His short term memory still fuzzy at times, but he can recognize everyone now. Even remember to ask me to buy toto for him. He can also comprehend TV and newspaper now compared to a few months ago.
