Just back from Sabah few days ago. Kundasang is not as cold as i expected, on 2nd night rained so a little bit cooler.
Overall the trip is nice specially in Kundasang but in KK a bit bored because not much place to visit or walk around. As for the Welcome seafood restaurant, a bit over-rated or maybe my expectation too high for me the food there is so-so only. Reached there around 5pm, the large prawn out of stock and the waiter told us we are too early there |

Can anyone share some news in Sabah Tourism in general after the earthquake?
I'm going to Sabah for a family trip in the next 2 weeks. Initial plan was to stay a night in Kundasang but we have canceled this plan after the earthquake. Now, we are only planning to staying KK throughout the trip.... and we do not have any itinerary yet for our 3 night stay |

Just come back from KK. No much difference compare with before the earth quake. According to the local, they said everything is just the same, just our west Malaysia ppl too sensitive
Once reach KK, I rent a car I think rent a car is the best way, because Sabah public transport is still not so good, so is more convenience to own a car. Car price range is not expensive, around rm100 per day. We come in 4 person, so average is rm25 per person only |

QUOTE(billyboy @ Jul 18 2015, 08:37 PM) Hi As you walk out of the Arrival Hall (KKIA2, AirAsia) you can see some counters doing car rental. Depending on the type of cars, it's about $100 a day. If you are traveling in 4 or 5, it's better to rent a car as cab fare is rather high and inconvenient. Can recommend car rental contact in Kota Kinabalu? Will be there next week; 23 to 29 Jul. Kota Kinabalu side is pretty save, just like any city in Peninsular. Still you need to take up a normal "traveler's precaution" like pick pocket & etc. Enjoy. |
