I immediately messaged the lawyer who assisted me with the S&P to ask about my next course of action. I am still waiting for a reply.

S&P lawyer acted for the developer. They don't have your interest in mind. I feel they are delaying. You have to spend some money to protect your interest bro. See another lawyer.
