Hi, my gf decided to go batam alone next week even after I told her not to, but she wants to explore and have new experience, so I agreed to let her go, but not without some self-defense tools just in case she needs it, touchwood.

Any idea where can I find / buy tools like pepper spray / alarm keychain that sounds alarm when u press a button, or something similar ?

today i learned pepper spray technically need permit in malaysia. pls correct me if im wrong, but articles seem to suggest this.

alarm keychain should be quite easy to find on shopee.

can also use set of keys as impromptu brass knuckles.

Even if you somehow bought pepper spray, don't think you can bypass the airport security at KLIA if want to travel to ID. Can't put that in both inside checked-in and carry-on luggage.

She’s looking for space and exploring other options and Batam has these distractions especially of the opposite sex, I used to pick up girls or women in Batam, Langkawi and Bali who were there to ‘explore’ and check out the scenery. One-night stands are common & they nvr asked for protection. If you are open minded and ok with a girl’s hitlist, then go for it.

Try those shops that sell army / scouts / Red Crescent paraphernalia.

Those shops usually display such items in their front windows.

Small pepper spray can bring airplane...last time i bring they dont bother

Haha that's what I thought too. Batam has nth to do at all. I mean nth much to explore. And, she's insisting to go alone. Maybe she has extra person going wit her but TS is not aware of.
