Hi forummers, comparing Xbox360 and PC games DVD9 and PS3 blu-ray disc, PS3 games usually have more than 10 GB of game data for the same game in multiple platforms. I don't know what is the usage for the extra file size in PS3 game disc? What additional data to be stored? Does that mean PS3 uses least compression compare to PC and Xbox360?

I read that Bluray movie must have at least 7.1 ch sound, but does that includes games as well? Is that PS3 sound will always better than PC game sound? Coz most PC games will not have 7.1 ch nowadays, correct me if I m wrong.

And also isn't the bigger size in the disc, the longer time it take to access? This is one of the disadvantage of console compare to PC. Overall, PC games can have awesome graphics, Xbox360 can achieve decent ones too by just using DVD-DL which is 9 GB. So why PS3 games would need that much of game data size to produce graphic almost on par to PC? hmm.gif
