No way the LRT line crossing the Penang Strait .. there is a busy shipping lane and how many columns needed for a bridge and height restrictions, you see the Penang Bridge 1 & 2 how high it is to allow ships to pass underneath, meaning the bridge needs to start the slope up much further from the current Penang side ferry terminal and slope down much further than Penang Sentral .. and PPC will never allow such construction, further more the fuel storage facility next to Pg Sentral is to be re-located near the mouth of Prai River ..meaning oil tankers need to sail further up the strait posing hazard if a collision happened .. Guess why the Penang SkyCab was cancelled ? Because PPC did not allow even a single cable car column in the strait ...the original plan was to built an bridge expansion next to the existing first Penang Bridge for the LRT to cross to Sbg Jaya then go to Penang Sentral and Raja Uda ..
