i have 5 fixed ip from maxis.

anyone can guide how to do port forwarding on end devices?
i tried already, if use the internal from the maxis router, 192.168.x.x, the internet working,
but when i check the myip.com, it shows the router gateway public ip.

tried assign the pc one of the fixed ip, and test the port, it doesnt open.

Based on your brief explanation (as it doesn't help much), so my understanding is kind of brief too as below :-

1. Maxis Router
LAN = 192.168.0.1 WAN = xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

2. You have 5 Fixed IP Address from Maxis, let's assume the following range :-
10.10.0.101
10.10.0.102
10.10.0.103
10.10.0.104
10.10.0.105

3. Let's assumed, the Router's WAN IP = 10.10.0.101

4. When check "MyIP.com" website, the IP Address detected should be your Router's WAN IP = 10.10.0.101

5. Inside the Router's Port Forwarding configuration page, assuming you are able to define the WAN IP, then you just need to configure as below :-
Port Forward #1 : WAN = 10.10.0.102 --> 192.168.0.2 (Server 1) Port: 80
Port Forward #2 : WAN = 10.10.0.103 --> 192.168.0.3 (Server 2) Port: 80

This means that whenever there is a connection request to 10.10.0.102, the router will auto forward to 192.168.0.2 and so on. Your server still remains with same Internal LAN IP settings, no configurations required. Only configuration on the router side.

Because its a Fixed IP address, all IP addresses will automatically point to your router.

The best is to use a Firewall to do the routing or use an Enterprise Router for this. As you are exposing your servers to the public thus some sort of protection is highly recommended.

Also, please elaborate should my assumptions is wrong... tongue.gif because your request is too brief to have understand.

Hope this helps... cool2.gif

the problem is, in port forwarding for the maxis router, FA2140, i cant enter public ip as server ip. thats the problem. it only allows me to enter lan ip to do port forward. so if i port forward lan, it works, but then it only recognize the first fixed ip.
some servers will only allow to recognize the public ip instead of through lan to recognize the fixed ip.

Then I would suggest you to get a decent Firewall like WatchGuard or Sophos XGS, these firewall have the capabilities to route incoming traffic according to the Fixed IP Address.

If you need a vendor to assist further, I can recommend. Please DM me.

Is there an option to disable NAT on your router? Use that and manually set the target PC to one of the available IP addresses. Under the PC's IP configuration, the router/gateway address should be set to the WAN IP of the router and the netmask should be 255.255.255.248. If that PC can access the internet, it should be exposed to the entire internet. Please make sure your firewall if working on your PC when doing this.

If you've got a spare router, best to practice on that. Otherwise make sure you know how to reset and reconfigure your existing router.

if set it manually, internet works, but the port not open. this the main problem.

Is your PC set to the correct public IP addres(not 192.168..)?

Does your PC show the assigned public IP when doing an IP check using google?

Is the firewall on your PC allowing access to the correct ports? Try checking from another PC on the same network.

Hhmmm... hmm.gif

High chances they provided wrong router, Maxis should have provided Enterprise model. Not sure just my guess...

Another way to test and since you have that old TM's DLink router, you can try configure it there. Take note of the VLAN ID on the WAN port, Username & Password and others PPPoE settings (eg. VCI).

Hope this helps... cool2.gif

When you said port not working, are you referring to port 80, 443 etc. ?

Or you are referring to Incoming traffic unable to reach the server ?

Have you configure the port forwarding at router ? Sometimes its called Virtual Server / NAT / Port Forward or similar names.
