JOHOR BARU: A single mother here has been having sleepless nights over her 21-year-old daughter, whom she has not seen for over five months.

Former beautician Pau Yiew Ping, 47, said the last time she saw Liew Jia Yee was in August last year after the latter went to Singapore for a new job.

"My daughter was working as a piano teacher in Singapore for about two years before she lost her job around June.

【华女狮城找工失踪】女子向家人报平安　声称在中国工作

（新山11日讯）早前向家人称到新加坡工作，却失踪逾4个月的21岁女子，昨日已透过微信向母亲抱平安，并声称目前人在中国西安工作，担任钢琴教师。
土著团结党柔州非巫裔臂膀组织公共投诉局主任林道祥透露，据刘佳妤的母亲透露，佳妤是在昨日透过微信向母亲报平安，并称目前已有一名中国籍男友。

他说，本身过后也联系上刘佳妤，对方告知可能会在今年12月才回国，其母亲也会到中国找佳妤。

根据林道祥所提供的视频画面显示，当他向刘佳妤要求将手机视频画面拍向周围环境时，佳妤以不方便为由婉拒，虽然最后在林道祥执意要求下有照做，但仅拍旁边一处门后的环境。

当被询及一旁是否有其他人时，刘佳妤则回答旁边并没有人威胁，并称今早才与母亲联系。

刚满21岁的刘佳妤是去年8月28日，告知父母要前往新加坡工作，却于当天晚上从樟宜机场离境，过后失联4个月之久，让父母感到心急如焚。

其母亲包燕萍（47岁）昨日在林道祥陪同下召开新闻发布会，希望民众能协助寻人。

她透露，女儿原本在新加坡任职钢琴老师，之后被裁员，并告知在新加坡找到行政人员的工作后，去年8月28日入境新加坡。

她一直以为女儿在新加坡工作，直到去年10月3日发讯息给女儿时，出现异样的状况，才惊觉女儿失踪，同月7日到警局报案，同月23日到新加坡警局报案。

“新加坡警方之后告知我，女儿去年8月28日晚上在新加坡樟宜机场离境，由于女儿已年满21岁，他们无法透露她所前往的目的地。”

Kind of impossible, if 5 months totally no contact. Something must have happened, even if now call from CN with phone, could be a group of ppl standing behind. Nothing is conclusive till you see her physically, but not alone, bring some authorities.
