one big apple store is coming soon at the concourse of LOT 10 ( Dome Restaurant entrance )

looks like apple is coming "big" in the scene of BB to serve all the "be " apple maniac .....

but .. wonder...are all the services tech person are ready .. for the apple invasion .........!!!!

so .. fellow IT person's to be .... change your wind course now .. ( where you still able ) ...

i predict .. apple is going to create some wave in the local IT scene ....

Machines again...

not sure ...who's is behind this store .....

but ..being understand ....that local IT market (retails ) is very much depending on the 'profit" to the business ....

so to say .. who ever is runing this store ... is not in anyway doing " charity" to promote Apple by opening the store at LOT 10 concourse ..

I believe ... the PC based is losing thier lust over time ... so what if ....PC goes to P5, or P6 so on and so on ... Vista or beyond .......where is the clear direction ....??? (in some point losing their direction along the way )



Apple for this matter .... is going to be promoted .. as a "lifestyle" product here in malaysian market ......

and i would bet on it ..that it is going to be "excepted" with no problem ...

ten years ago .... first complain of the consumer i about apple in the local market is that the $$$ is too much ...
and cos is expensive .. so it is class as pro use ... and now over the years ... this issue is no longer the main issue

consumers are more expose to the other choice other then WIN based PC ...

and for me .. having the expriences from using ibook about 5 years ago has upgrade .. now to a PB G4 and Imac G5...

i hope that store is not "YET ANOTHER APPLE RESELLER PREMIUM "

Hmmm..if I am not mistaken, I saw that advertisement wraps around in an area from ground floor to the top like 3 months ago.

First of all, I want to say that you are an annoying piece of turd and I hope that you pass shards of glass through your intestinal track, before maggots and tapeworms consume on your flesh.

Reason being? I....hate....when... you...freaking....type...like....this...zomg...there...must.....a....pause...between....every...god...damn...word...that...you...type...it... is...so...annoying....to.....read...where....did...you.....ever...learn....to....talk....like.....this.....




On a related note, I hope Machines burns in hell for pulling off a monumental annoying and troublesome marketing ploy with their sales of the RM99 iPod Shuffle the other day at the opening of their new store in Sunway Pyramid.
They advertised in the major newspapers that there werr 30 iPod Shuffles for sale at only RM99 but chose not to mention that they would only start selling them at 2PM. I really pity the early birds (or not so early birds) that started lining up at 7 am and did not get what they wanted even after the doors opened at 10am.

went to lot 10 today, machines will be in lot 10...

there is another apple store, a large one in pavilion named epi centre... went there too... it's great...

pavillion epic very small only , looks big but not really big

To Onso, i seriously think the harsh personal criticism was uncalled for... Your exaggeration was also a bit too much, the thread-starter did not have dots after each and every word... His sentences were definitely fragmented, but not to the point of becoming incomprehensible... i've definitely seen worse...

Anyways, were you one of the persons queuing up in line during the Sunway Pyramid machines launch?? I'm not sure about the adverts in the papers, but machine's website clearly states that the RM99 Shuffle promo starts at 2.00pm... Why would u pity those who lined up early?? Like it or not you would still need to come early to be the first 30 in line, right?? It's a normal and totally acceptable marketing technique, building up a line outside the store especially during peak hours would attract attention.... Nobody's forcing them to line up, if you have a problem with lining up just go straight to the counter, pay RM349 and get the same thing! Nobody's forcing anyone, and nobody's stopping anyone!

If you're talking about an official Apple Retail outlet with genius bars, glass staircases & stuff, I'm sure it won't happen anytime in the near future... Malaysia doesn't even have its own online store, and without it being set up first there's a weak probability that retail outlets would be set up coz Apple won't simply jump into under-established markets... Even Hong Kong, Singapore & Australia don't have Apple retail outlets yet (there's gonna be one in Sydney, but the launch is only expected to be middle of next year)... There's no harm wishing though, coz we never know what Apple's marketing people have up their sleeves... This link might interest you...

The best that we could ask for for the time being is that more and more resellers open up, as it'll increase competition between them... The only thing that differentiates them is the level of customer service, in-store promotions & discounted pricing... Increased presence of resellers is already a good indicator of Apple products being more widely accepted by consumers... Most major malls in the Klang valley already have resellers, and there's quite a bit of concentration along the Bukit Bintang stretch (LYP,Lot10,Pavilion).... Even Singapore doesn't have three resellers on the same street Hopefully Apple will notice this and pay more attention to our country
