not architect here, but from what i recall some similarities during the early MRT phase on why they dont just do tunnelling for all MRT, anything that involves digging costs a tonne more in terms of money and time and effort.

also reminder that PPRs arent designed to be sold on profit so they will adjust whenever possible to fit into the building budget.

land should be much cheaper too in that region compared to prime areas of Selangor/KL. thus cheaper if they just make most of the parking on the ground level
