Hi, I'll guide you thru the calculation. 40/0.0076 Flexible cable means 40 strands of 0.0076inch diameter wire strand. So 40 strands of 0.0076inch diameter = 0.19304mm diameter = 0.029267424mm.sq times 40 strand = 1.1706969596mm.sq cross section area. So it's actually more than 1mm.sq.
