Hi, Did you notice that a lot of Shopee or Lazada sellers selling Flexi Cable with description as below : 40/0076 (3C) = 1mm ?
In fact, 40/0076 is only 0.18mm, it doesn't meet 1mm specification.
And I only see Fajar Cable mentioned 32/020, which is 1.005mm.
So, an I wrong or misunderstood?

QUOTE(stormer.lyn @ Jan 8 2025, 09:10 AM) How about you calculate if the 0076 is in inches? Wow... It's 1mm + So, it shouldn't in mm but inch? This is a standard unit/calculation? But Fajar Cable 020 in mm, right? Confusing

QUOTE(JLA @ Jan 8 2025, 09:45 AM) i buy mm size one pure copper no 1 2 rating buatan malaysia no SIRIM mean kabel no SIRIM as long pure cooper no problem You mean it was written 1mm 1.5mm instead? My curious is, it was written 1mm but bracket with 40/0076! As mentioned from the reply above, if it's "inch", then 40/0076 meet 1mm specification! But I saw some written 1mm (40/0076) , some said 1mm (40/076), this is headache!

QUOTE(marvinben @ Jan 8 2025, 11:11 AM) Hi, I'll guide you thru the calculation. 40/0.0076 Flexible cable means 40 strands of 0.0076inch diameter wire strand. So 40 strands of 0.0076inch diameter = 0.19304mm diameter = 0.029267424mm.sq times 40 strand = 1.1706969596mm.sq cross section area. So it's actually more than 1mm.sq. Thanks! Wow .. you are pro man! Another struggle is, some said 0076, some 076! So? Isn't the same diameter, right?

QUOTE(anakkk @ Jan 8 2025, 11:15 AM) china made usually no la, unless you buy locally imported one :X Ya lo. But local seller supposed to provide those informations. QUOTE(marvinben @ Jan 8 2025, 01:05 PM) Thats a pretty common typo in the industry. It should be 0.0076". Alamak! So, do you think it's ok to purchase those no brand cable (as long as it's fully copper)? QUOTE(JinXXX @ Jan 8 2025, 02:00 PM) most useful reply ever.... I more than agree 💯👍
