yes, thats what happen to me, even if they cut it will be shit, and they will nicely tell you, i only know how to do plaster not wiringi did my house recently , they even moved the lighting holes and wrongly wired my ceiling fan after that. and my ceiling fan is shaking worse than before.
they had to cut mine since the holes already exist and i am reparing the ceiling not the wiring, or you can DIY, but it wont be pretty la
