Based on Sammobile database, Malaysia is using Galaxy S23 (SM-S911B) while HK is using Galaxy S23 (SM-S9110). Not sure if you can flash Malaysian firmware using Odin on a different model. However, if it's say Malaysia (XME) to Vietnam (XXV) then can both using the same model, but can't recall if it will affect OTA.

I think most apps you can transfer over. Login most you have to register again but saves the hassle of re-download. I used to setup from new, but prefer to use smartswitch nowadays.

Whatsapp due to the importance of it. The best way imo is still to do manually. Backup right before you want to transfer, then log on new phone, it will sign you out on the old phone. The new phone will then become the new primary phone.

You will need to link back all your other linked devices (tablet, PC, watch) etc
