The million dollar question. Is the S25 using the same screen as S23 and S24?
If it is, the green line issue is bound to affect it too.

Anyone knows is there an option to purchase a 5 year official warranty since the green line defect is so rampant?

QUOTE(wolf1991 @ Feb 2 2025, 08:46 AM) Better just forget the ideas of getting 5 years extended warranty. Those insurance got clause like covering market value of the device after it's faulty. So theres no worthy protection against the green line issue. By third and forth year onward probably just left like 40 to 60%. If it's not worth to repair, they will asking you to buy a new device by the value given by insurance. The purchase then will be follow retail price and cannot beat the price of online deal. Factor in the price you paid for the insurance, I don't think it's worth |

QUOTE(wolf1991 @ Feb 2 2025, 04:25 PM) Yes no lol. It's a matter of luck. Of course people will frequently heard of Samsung having green line problem but that's mainly because they have very big user base worldwide. I have 3 other relatives and 2 colleagues using various models of samsung phones, all get this problem. And myself is another victim too. This is what holds me back in placing order. It will be interesting if someone really calculate % of Samsung sold having green line issue versus other brand. They might be turn out to be very low % but no people really know the result as of now. Side story, Samsung should offer free repair/replacement of screen once green light issue happening within like 2 to 4 years. Then the confident level of consumer sure will spike. People are getting paranoid when seeing many cases reported online but they never think of the actual % QUOTE(TSEyeCare @ Feb 2 2025, 05:06 PM) Shopee Mobile Gadget got exclusive color can get RM4899 with RM600 shop voucher + RM200 platform voucher. Can do spaylater 3months 0%. Samsung order can cancel? I think they mess up my installment plan. My bank show they charge full amount without installment on my card. Full amount payable this month. QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Feb 2 2025, 05:13 PM) Lowest i saw was 4979.This post has been edited by sluive: Feb 2 2025, 05:24 PM |

QUOTE(pinky.dress.lady @ Feb 3 2025, 09:38 AM) 😲...wah..seriously??? Samsung quality really bad then...so are you still using Samsung phone right now after so many people around you having bad issue? Yeah green line issue is actually quite bad. But as i am so used to the Spen, there is really no other choice other than samsung. I am choosing between S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra. Probably I'll go with S24 Ultra for the bluetooth Spen. S25 Ultra doesn't seem to be that big upgrade from S24 U. |
