DON'T!  laugh.gif

I have both and really regretted the move to Pixel 10 Pro XL.

You will feel "crippled" using Pixel UI after using One UI for so many years. I don't game too. Although it is 6.8" compared to S25U's 6.9", everything looks smaller and cramped (same 5x5 layout setting on both). Things look tiny-ier. Apps also cacat looking on Pixel UI - some cannot show full screen with a black bar underneath the gesture bar.

Waiting for One UI 8 to official launch for Malaysia set to update and move back to S25U.

same, switched to oneplus 3 times, while using samsung phones all the way.

my oneplus phones only use less than a month then sold it off.

i thought i could adapt but in the end, its the small features that you're used to on a Samsung, like you dont realize its there... until its not

those features really make big difference in terms of user experience, you just dont realize it until you change to a different OS.

back then oneplus and pixel UI UX were on a similar level. before the took-over happened.

Hah? One UI mean BIG UI? on old samsung phone i did not adjust minimum width, but now i need, as One UI keep making whole thing bigger
*
QUOTE(ipohps3 @ Sep 19 2025, 12:08 AM)
got bigger meh. didn't feel it is bigger. feel same only.
*
got bigger bro. not just the battery text size.

calendar widget also they mess up. font so small on the monthly calendar, but for others like countdown, the text so fcking big. wtf.

brightness slider in notification panel also got larger

dont understand why they are trying to be like iOS where everything is so big, as if its for the blind ppl to use.

*
yea im using 480 and smart launcher now.

everything is too bloody big.

one ui 6 they made it big

one ui 7 they mess up so many of the widget layouts and have so many inconsistencies

now one ui 8 they really made the OS for the blind ppl to use. so big for what. LOL

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Sep 19 2025, 04:33 PM)
Just noticed the brightness slider slightly larger/thicker laugh.gif

The most annoying is the weather widget, the font size so big doh.gif
*
yes. it feels like their software department are not aligned in terms of UI UX. lol.

funny how they ran the Beta for so long but nobody feedback regarding these? UI changes should be easy to implement
*
maybe they are previous iOS users who are just excited to join the beta program so when the see everything is big, they felt its natural. lol

but long time One UI users know that their UI is getting bigger and bigger and more ridiculous.

Actually now 2 thing i not really care
Battery review, device benchmark
*
i never cared about battery since note 10 days.

just use the smartphone as-is, charge when needed, even if SOT didnt got past 3 hours.

because it can never be accurate anymore after you start to drive the car, the moment you plug in for Android Auto, it is already charging, the SOT reading will never be accurate

and we need to drive at least 5 days a week for those who need to go office 5x a week laugh.gif

for benchmark, modern phones nowadays can last very long, and can still perform well even if its 4-5 years old. so it does not matter anymore

Tomorrow is the day, but i cannot found a way to add my routine to home screen
If i add widget, only can craete new routine
*
the manual routines? you need to add them from the widget setting screen, they change it somehow.

there is an "Add Routine" but then once you click on it, you can see the manual routines you've created previously.

anyone's modes and routine stuck in a loop for a minute or two until it functions again?

https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-...g/td-p/13200468

checked on apkmirror, seems like there is a new version 4.8.07.1

the buggy one is the current version 4.9.04.13

hopefully they push out the update soon. prefer not to install APK even though its an official apk.

don't buy Samsung phone on release unless the preorder is attractive. They drop price very fast. I bought my S25U 512GB for just 4.7k on March this year (phone was launched on January)
*
depends, i also got mine for 4.7k in January with preorder, 4999 - extra 250 from shopback (but delayed cashback, still got it back in the end)

if i had utilized samsung wallet since 2022, i would've gotten this phone even cheaper than 4750. lol.

Yeah if collecting using samsung wallet then every year is RM720 equivalent discount. Use your phone for 3 years, then when time to change you get RM2160 off the new phone.
*
yes, i plan to farm the points for 2-3 years now, wait for my next upgrade either S27U or S28U laugh.gif

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Oct 15 2025, 10:28 AM)
Nearly not using Samsung Pay anymore, mostly use shopeepaylater and payback on weekend laugh.gif
*
you should start to use it again, can really get phones even cheaper after pre-order promo laugh.gif

Doing the maths:-

If you max out every month 50 times, you will earn 50 X 40 points (2000 points) per month. When exchanging for discount on Samsung products, each point is worth rm0.03. So that's RM 60 a month, or RM 720 a year. If you replace phone every 3 years that's a 2.1k discount.
*
on top of that you can also use it during pre-order discounts. laugh.gif

i regret not farming points since 2022 with my s22 ultra, since i changed to s25 ultra. the phone would've around roughly 3k instead of 4999.

i take into account some points expire in between because we cant farm the full 36 months anyway since they will expire.
