Anyone know the current status of GPSC?

Seems like there's reshufflings ramping up in regional office.

Is the takeover going to happen ? I've heard some rumors its not happening due to the current state (painted in orange) of the assets and green doesn't have bullets left due to the impact from PETROS , but if that's the case why is the reshuffling happening. I do know there's currently a task force for the takeover.

Partial handovers?

Already seeing a lot of salty lanyard posts of being laid off . Most of it is LIFO though.

Cataclysm already starting ? Got hear each cluster/dept need to form a list .

Operations unaffected (EM Side).

Find it hard to believe when theres so many upcoming projects , e.g UDW , CCS etc.

However the crux of the issue is thats its all in EM so maybe has something to do with local content.

Another day , another L for WM oil and gas . I guess its time to exit the industry or relocate if you're from WM.

Need something , the whole scene is a mess

MSI is a ghost town except for their heat recovery project
SE is a real ghost town with nothing but dust
MHB really got their head smashed with their troublesome wind farm project
MISC zero competitiveness

Borneo side neednt worry much due to ongoing kerang projects and MFDP

TMM side all starving since PET cutting costs to the maximum and differing things to next year to next year . Seems like Q4 will show the signs if next year will show complete meltdown . If no activities this Q4 for LLIs then you know i know . Some 'powerful' contractors resorting to bank facilities now .

Honestly at this point i foresee next year will be an even more horrible year .

Regional operations office also shrinking. Seems like EC office saying that it will operate like a JV sleeping partner. EOG rumours might come true with petros , who knows?

I recently had the opportunity to chat with a BD Director from NPCC.

His punchline was that you would make more returns putting money in ASB than doing an EPCC Job nowadays. Why would you go through all the hoops and bounds for razor thin margins ?

Another thing he highlighted is that the current market is saturated not only with people under quoting price wise but also nonsensical lead times for LLIs . Apparently they lost the KSCPP project because of a certain EPCC promising they could deliver the TBMs YEARS ahead of the competition ....

Guess what? Lol

Seems like you have to lie and bullshit to get jobs nowadays
