I've built a new rig, now only left the GPU. I saw on Shopee that rtx4070ti super is less than 4k after discount, it's cheaper than 7900xt.

Now I'm in a dilemma, should I wait for the announcement of rtx5070ti or just close my eyes and grab the 4070ti super?

Get the super ti with 16gb ram

i think Rtx 4070 super should be sufficient..

good for 2K gaming

Get it 1st, save some money for future upgrade

Can also consider Amd radeon Rx9000 series next year

buy now if you need one. if can wait, just wait till the 5070ti benchmark is out, compare and make decision.

The best thing is to wait for the RTX5070ti specs to be announced. Then you can properly compare it with the RTX4070ti.

If after the announcement, the RTX5070ti has significant improvements, like way better performance than the RTX4070ti, then it's worth waiting and saving up for it. Confirm worth it if the difference is big.

But if after waiting, the RTX5070ti is only slightly better, not so much of a jump from the RTX4070ti, then no need to waste money lah. By then, the RTX4070ti price sure will drop one. You know how it is lah, new things come out, older models get cheaper one. So, you can sapu the RTX4070ti at a better price. Still can play all the latest games what, maybe just a little bit less power only. But for the price difference, confirm worth it also.

So, in short, don't rush lah. Wait for the official RTX5070ti specs first. Then only decide. If the RTX5070ti is a big jump, then wait and buy that. If not much difference, then just grab the RTX4070ti when the price drops.

I'm only considering Nvidia GPU, I'm not using it only for gaming, my professional software requires cuda to run

So basically a 4090... for 4090 prices. 5070TI will have 4070TIS perf so maybe its pricing as well? Same goes with 5070, same perf & pricing as 4070S?

This is ultimate GPU stagnation if its true! But what will AMD do? Intel... err lets see if they dont go out of business first making $20 loss for each GPU they sold (while competitors are making clean profits)

5070 ti 12GB msrp $749. give or take, likely will be around rm4k mark in our market. might be worth to wait for 5070 Ti Super.

This is TOPS generation. If the applications is TOPS dependant, even 5070TI will beat mighty 4090 at half the price for $750!

If OP can wait for it then wait for it.
